Capella Design offers beautiful furniture and accessories that elevate the style and function of the home. The company’s mission is to reimagine home mobility so that everyone can enjoy a more functional space without compromising on aesthetics.
This fall, Capella is bringing that same vision to hospitality.
The team is building a design-forward accessible hotel room for the Interior Design Show Vancouver and is inviting travelers, caregivers, and advocates to help shape the final result. Many “accessible” suites meet code but miss the mark in practice. From unreachable shower controls to layouts that don’t reflect real needs, these experiences often create unnecessary challenges. Capella believes that firsthand feedback is the key to doing better.
The company has launched a short survey for people with lived experience staying in accessible hotel rooms. It asks what worked, what didn’t, and what guests would change. It takes just a few minutes to complete. Participants can also request to share their feedback by phone or video call.
