Keep The Axis Project Alive

Founded by George Gallego, The Axis Project has long been a sanctuary where individuals with disabilities train, connect, and reclaim their strength and independence. Earlier this year, the center was forced to relocate, leaving its members without the uniquely accessible space that had transformed countless lives.

George has launched a $250,000 fundraising campaign to help The Axis Project rebuild and reopen in its new home. The funds will support construction, equipment, and essential accessibility features for New York City’s only adaptive wellness hub led by and for people with disabilities. With no government funding, the campaign is a crucial lifeline to ensure Axis can continue empowering its community to move, grow, and thrive together.
